Tamarindo Weather Patterns
Any time is good to visit beautiful Costa Rica and Tamarindo in particular. November through August are always popular travel times – you need to see what suits you best. The Northwest Pacific area enjoys one of the driest climates in Costa Rica in the fabulous fishing grounds off Tamarindo Bay. The coastal areas experience steady year-round temperatures with daytime highs hovering around the upper 80s to lower 90s F. Nighttime lows are usually in the upper 70s. Being a tropical zone, precipitation varies throughout the year.
Finding Tamarindo And Getting There
This is a small town with a heavy focus on holidaymaking, with serious surfing, eco-tourism and Tamarindo sport fishing topping the list. Tamarindo’s permanent population is around 500 very lucky locals, but with incoming visitors this can easily expand the population count to 5,000. Tamarindo is a town and district located on the Nicoya Peninsula on Costa Rica’s North Pacific coast in Guanacaste Province. Getting to this incredible tropical destination could not be easier since it is close to Liberia Airport, or Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport to be more precise. This is Costa Rica’s main and only international airport. Tamarindo is approximately a 1-hour drive to the southwest from the airport and excellent shared shuttle services are available to and from the airport at around $30 (one way).
